Open source

PDFJade is going open source, under the MIT license. The code that merges, signs and compresses your files is the same code you'll be able to read, audit and run yourself.

The core idea of PDFJade is that your files never leave your browser. Right now you have to take our word for that. An open repository means you, or anyone else, can check it directly in the source instead of trusting a privacy policy.

License

MIT: free to use, copy, modify and redistribute, including commercially, as long as the license and copyright notice are kept. No warranty is implied, same as the tools themselves.

What this will mean in practice

Status

The site itself is live today and already runs entirely client-side. Publishing the source is the next step. Check back here, or write to [email protected], for the announcement.
